Assistant Health Supervisor General Duties: The Assistant Health Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. This position, in conjunction with health supervisor, provides daily, on-call, and weekly health services for all persons, working in tandem with the wellness supervisor to provide mental, emotional, and social health at camp. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of the camp staff team within all aspects of camp program.
Work under the direction of the health supervisor, wellness supervisor, executive camp director, GSCO health supervisor, and camp directors to provide health care for all persons within camp program.
Work under the technical supervision of the health supervisor and a licensed physician who is on-call to provide health advice, support, and services.
Work within the communicable disease plan to ensure safe and healthy practices and measures are taken to help mitigate the spread of illness.
Assist in the weekly and daily health screening procedures and results of all persons.
Prepare and consistently maintain camp-wide first-aid kits. Provide supplies and gear for staff 'self-carry' first aid kits.
Participate in the communication and advice given to staff on accommodations to provide for special medical/health/wellness considerations.
Maintain constant and professional communication with caregivers regarding the health care and services provided to campers.
Provide support in the routine and emergency health procedures in consultation with the health supervisor and executive camp director and in keeping with established guidelines.
Provide a comfortable, soothing, and caring health care environment and space for all persons.
Assist in the cleanliness, organization, care, maintenance, and inventory of the health center & medication delivery room.
Assist in the housekeeping and laundry of the health center, including biohazard laundry.
Provide communication to health supervisor for health/medical supply and equipment requisitions.
Camper Leadership & Supervision
When directed, act 'in loco parentis' regarding the health services for all campers in overnight camp sessions.
Assure campers receive quality health care and medications as directed.
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
Assist in initial and ongoing health/medical training for the purposes of staff continued education.
Provide support for the evaluating staff on the camp-wide health procedures & practices.
Provide health/first aid according to procedures.
Verify staff competence before assigning them health care/first aid care role. Follow up on treatment given. Monitor staff performance throughout the season.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Provide quality documentation and review of the health/medical practices and procedures at camp.
Participate in camper and staff feedback forms as necessary for the overall camp's strategic planning.
Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, CampMinder, Office365, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook.
Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and campers.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.
Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary.
Carry out ongoing observations to assure that goals and expectations of leadership & health care delivery are positive and appropriate.
Follow policies, procedures, and standards set by the American Camping Association, Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints, Colorado Department of Health and Human Services, and other certifying industry organizations.
PRIMARY CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work plans are developed with the Health Supervisor & Executive Camp Director in conjunction with camp strategic plan, budget, and policies.
Provide and/or support camp-wide emergency procedures during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide and/or support wellness practices, mental, social, and emotional health in conjunction with the wellness supervisor.
Provide support as necessary to all operational, program, cabin leadership, and director staff.
Support the work of the site, kitchen, and housekeeping staff as needed.
Maintain positive relationships with health and emergency service providers.

At all times, act 'in loco parentis' regarding the health services for all campers in overnight camp sessions.
Accountable for assuring campers receive quality health care and medications as directed.
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
Perform initial and ongoing health/medical training for the purposes of staff continued education.
Continually evaluate staff on the camp-wide health procedures & practices.
Provide health/first aid advice according to procedures.
Provide in-person medication administration training for staff, as needed & assigned.
Verify staff competence before assigning them health care/first aid care role. Follow up on treatment given. Monitor staff performance throughout the season.

PRIMARY CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work plans are developed with the Executive Camp Director & GSCO Health Supervisor in conjunction with camp strategic plan, budget, and policies.
Provide and/or support camp-wide emergency procedures during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide and/or support wellness practices, mental, social, and emotional health in conjunction with the wellness supervisor.
Provide support as necessary to all operational, program, cabin leadership, and director staff.
Support the work of the site, kitchen, and housekeeping staff as needed.

Health Supervisor General Duties: The Health Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, implementation, and management of health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. This position is responsible for providing daily, on-call, and weekly health services for all persons, working in tandem with the wellness supervisor to provide mental, emotional, and social health at camp. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate as an active member of the camp staff team within all aspects of camp program.
Work with assistant health supervisor, wellness supervisor, executive camp director, GSCO health supervisor, and camp directors to provide health care for all persons within camp program.
Work under the technical supervision of a licensed physician who is on-call to provide health advice, support, and services.
Work within the communicable disease plan to ensure safe and healthy practices and measures are taken to help mitigate the spread of illness.
Accountable for the weekly and daily health screening procedures and results of all persons.
Communicate and advise staff on accommodations to provide for special medical/health/wellness considerations.
Maintain constant and professional communication with caregivers regarding the health care and services provided to campers.
Provide support and oversight in the routine and emergency health procedures in consultation with the executive camp director and in keeping with established guidelines.
Provide a comfortable, soothing, and caring health care environment and space for all persons.
Responsible for the cleanliness, organization, care, maintenance, and inventory of the health center & medication delivery room.
Responsible for the housekeeping and laundry of the health center, including biohazard laundry.
Responsible for communicating health/medical supply and equipment requisitions.
Camper Leadership & Supervision
At all times, act 'in loco parentis' regarding the health services for all campers in overnight camp sessions.
Accountable for assuring campers receive quality health care and medications as directed.
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
Perform initial and ongoing health/medical training for the purposes of staff continued education.
Continually evaluate staff on the camp-wide health procedures & practices.
Provide health/first aid advice according to procedures.
Provide in-person medication administration training for staff, as needed & assigned.
Verify staff competence before assigning them health care/first aid care role. Follow up on treatment given. Monitor staff performance throughout the season.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Accountable for the documentation and review of the health/medical practices and procedures at camp.
Participate in camper and staff feedback forms as necessary for the overall camp's strategic planning.
Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, CampMinder, Office365, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook.
Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and campers.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.
Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary.
Carry out ongoing observations to assure that goals and expectations of leadership & health care services are positive and appropriate.
Follow policies, procedures, and standards set by the American Camping Association, Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints, Colorado Department of Health and Human Services, and other certifying industry organizations.
PRIMARY CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent carries out the following specific responsibilities :
1. Provides executive leadership and direction for all delegated Bureau programs in the development, implementation, execution, and evaluation in a manner that will foster the most effective conservation and utilization of Indian resources, including direction of program objectives, organizing work, and setting priorities.
2. Responsible, within delegated authority, for serving as the line official in charge of the daily operations and special projects of Indian Affairs assigned to the Region.
3. Serves as a representative of the U.S. Government in carrying out the Government-to Government relationship with the Federally recognized Tribes in the Region, assuring that Tribal enactments and budgets are processed according to authorized, governing Tribal resolutions and organic documents, Federal laws, regulations and Bureau policy.
4. Has expert knowledge of the Bureau's fee-to-trust acquisition policies and procedures to administer associated responsibilities with taking fee-simple land ownership by the United States into Trust for individual Indians and/or Tribes. Outside of the Congress, the Regional Director, as delegated through the Secretary, is the only entity authorized to take land into Trust for individual Indians and/or Tribes.
5. Provides Regional leadership and direction to programs which develop and implement policies, regulations, directives and methodologies for managing Bureau programs.
6.Serves as the principal advisor to BIA/AS-IA Headquarters on delegated programs and responsibilities under the Region's purview and auspices, including the Government-to Government relationship with the sovereign Tribal Governments in the Region.
7. Advises the Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs and Bureau Leadership on all activities involving trust resources in the Region. Makes important and judgmental decisions on a variety of complex Trust and Tribal Government issues unique to Government agencies in accomplishing the mission of the Bureau. Wellness Supervisor General Duties: The Wellness Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, implementation, and management of mental, emotional, and social health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Camper Leadership & Supervision

YOUR IMPACT
Support the Deputy Director of Development in the day-to-day operations of Civic Nation’s prospecting and donor outreach efforts for the development department.
Conduct background research on potential fundraising prospects on a weekly basis and work with the Deputy Director of Development to identify new funding opportunities.

YOUR IMPACT
Support the Deputy Director of Development in the day-to-day operations of Civic Nation’s prospecting and donor outreach efforts for the development department.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Using the On Board software program, and working with the Board Chair, Vice Chair and CEO schedule all APLA Health Board meetings; including full Board meetings, Executive and other Board standing committee meetings, Board retreats, Board orientations, and Board ad hoc committee meetings.
Working with the CEO and other EMT members, prepare and distribute notices of upcoming meetings, agendas (including Board Resolutions and Minutes) and other materials. Maintain an annual calendar of all Board approval requirements pursuant to California law, the APLA Health bylaws, as well as FQHC rules and regulations. Coordinate/ facilitate the timely review by and approval by staff and the Board of all required approvals.
Serve as a resource for Board Members; answer questions, take messages, return phone calls or in any other way assist members with their board responsibilities including in some cases fundraising on behalf of APLA. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and documents as they pertain to the Board.
Provide high-level administrative support in helping managing the schedule, travel and expenses for the CEO. Assist with communication between CEO and the Board, EMT, SMT and JAEDI and between CEO and all outside parties.
Help support the CEO in their participation in external groups including boards of directors, advisory, planning and other committees, etc.

Significant Executive Assistant experience required, preferably in an environment where contact with high profile individuals and community leaders is common. Strong organizational skills and writing skills required. Experience in a legal environment and / or working with a sophisticated board of directors preferred. High school/GED diploma required. College graduate preferred. Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Strong Knowledge of:
Office systems and procedures, office machines, computer skills, and advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) required. Operational and procedural knowledge of for or non-profit boards of directors preferred. Experience with video conferencing systems (Zoom, Teams, etc.) required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is hybrid work position requiring three days per week (on average) in the office. The balance between in office and remote may vary from week to week depending on work priorities and CEO schedule. Schedule includes working nights and weekends as needed. This is primarily an office position that requires only occasional bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and moving of office materials weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires daily use of a personal computer and requires entering, viewing, and revising text and graphics on the computer terminal and on paper. Some local travel required.

To support the operations of APLA Health & Wellness (APLA Health) including the Board of Directors (Board), Executive Management (EMT) and Senior Management (SMT) Teams, and JAEDI (Justice, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Committee. Assist with some administrative duties for the CEO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Board of Directors:
Using the On Board software program, and working with the Board Chair, Vice Chair and CEO schedule all APLA Health Board meetings; including full Board meetings, Executive and other Board standing committee meetings, Board retreats, Board orientations, and Board ad hoc committee meetings.
Working with the CEO and other EMT members, prepare and distribute notices of upcoming meetings, agendas (including Board Resolutions and Minutes) and other materials. Send reminder notices to Board members of upcoming meetings. Coordinate with the Board Chair and Vice Chair, other Executive Team staff to prepare and distribute the monthly board information packet.
Attend all Board and committee meetings, record attendance and votes. Prepare draft minutes of all meetings for review by the CEO and / or Board Chair or committee chair and then approval by the Board or appropriate committee.
Organize all Board and other committee meetings including logistics, catering, video and conference call capabilities. Manage the planning for all Board-related events, including offsite meetings, orientations, dinners and retreats. Attend any and all Board events as needed. Attend other APLA Health events where Board members are present as needed and when appropriate.
