The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Spill Responder (Environmental Specialist 3) position. This position is located in our Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA . Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. From industrial facilities to illegal drug labs to sunken boats, our work to stop releases of hazardous materials to the environment is unique and challenging. What makes this role unique?
In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team and use science to solve complex environmental and public health challenges. Working with other federal, state, local, and Tribal response partners, spill responders serve as Ecology’s State On-Scene Coordinator leading the response and cleanup of complex environmental spills. The most challenging aspect of the work is coordinating with others under stress. However, every response is a new opportunity to collaborate with partner agencies and impacted citizens. You will use skill and empathy to mitigate stresses so that everyone involved is able to perform at their best and get the job done safely. What you will do:
Conduct responses to spills of oil and HAZMAT, abandoned waste, fish kills, pressurized cylinders, illegal drug manufacturing facilities, and other environmental and human health emergencies.
Under supervision, conduct operations to control, contain, and cleanup spills, and investigate their cause.
Under supervision, perform hands-on cleanup actions at oil and HAZMAT spills and illegal drug manufacturing facilities.
As State On-Scene Coordinator, oversee cleanup actions of spillers and their contractors.
Complete detailed documentation of response actions.
Complete ongoing training related to growth and competence as a Spill Responder.
Ensure safe and appropriate management of dangerous wastes generated as part of emergency oil and hazmat cleanup activities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent

Assess Threats to Worker Safety & Perform Field Duties in a Safe Manner – Safety of workers and the public is the first priority of spill response positions. You will receive SPPR Program safety training and demonstrate understanding and performance of safe field operations. Threats to worker safety may include physical, chemical, biological hazards of materials; traffic; site conditions; weather; and threats posed by animals or contentious people at a work site.
Hazardous Materials Management – Accurate assessment of hazards from chemicals involved in environmental incidents is critical to the effective performance of this position. You will receive the training and equipment to perform this competency. Certification as a Hazardous Materials Specialist under State law is required before independently acting as the State On-Scene Coordinator during incidents.
Must live within a 60-minute commuting distance of Ecology’s Central Region Office in Union Gap, WA.

The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Spill Responder (Environmental Specialist 3) position. This position is located in our Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA . Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. From industrial facilities to illegal drug labs to sunken boats, our work to stop releases of hazardous materials to the environment is unique and challenging. In this position, you will respond to oil and HAZMAT spills, safely manage dangerous waste, provide training, and develop local response partnerships. You will collaborate with law enforcement, fire service, other environmental agencies, Tribes, and other partners. Our focus on relationships builds opportunities for environmental protection as well as personal growth. Please Note: This position is required to serve as a duty officer for an after-hours, on-call pager duty on a regular rotation. Upon completion of the required training and successful medical surveillance baseline examination, the candidate will be assigned to the Emergency Spill Response Team and will be eligible for a 10% assignment pay . Likewise, Spill Responders are periodically required to be on call outside of scheduled work hours and are paid an hourly Standby Rate of 7% of the regular hourly rate . Duties
What makes this role unique?
In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team and use science to solve complex environmental and public health challenges. Working with other federal, state, local, and Tribal response partners, spill responders serve as Ecology’s State On-Scene Coordinator leading the response and cleanup of complex environmental spills. The most challenging aspect of the work is coordinating with others under stress. However, every response is a new opportunity to collaborate with partner agencies and impacted citizens. You will use skill and empathy to mitigate stresses so that everyone involved is able to perform at their best and get the job done safely. What you will do:
Conduct responses to spills of oil and HAZMAT, abandoned waste, fish kills, pressurized cylinders, illegal drug manufacturing facilities, and other environmental and human health emergencies.
Under supervision, conduct operations to control, contain, and cleanup spills, and investigate their cause.
Under supervision, perform hands-on cleanup actions at oil and HAZMAT spills and illegal drug manufacturing facilities.
As State On-Scene Coordinator, oversee cleanup actions of spillers and their contractors.
Complete detailed documentation of response actions.
Complete ongoing training related to growth and competence as a Spill Responder.
Ensure safe and appropriate management of dangerous wastes generated as part of emergency oil and hazmat cleanup activities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent

Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license and maintain the license throughout employment.

Assess Threats to Worker Safety & Perform Field Duties in a Safe Manner – Safety of workers and the public is the first priority of spill response positions. You will receive SPPR Program safety training and demonstrate understanding and performance of safe field operations. Threats to worker safety may include physical, chemical, biological hazards of materials; traffic; site conditions; weather; and threats posed by animals or contentious people at a work site.
Hazardous Materials Management – Accurate assessment of hazards from chemicals involved in environmental incidents is critical to the effective performance of this position. You will receive the training and equipment to perform this competency. Certification as a Hazardous Materials Specialist under State law is required before independently acting as the State On-Scene Coordinator during incidents.

Position Description
America Votes is seeking a Data and Program Manager for a full-time, 2024-cycle position in the following states: AZ, FL, CO, GA, MN, NH, NV, OH, PA. The Data and Program Manager plays a key role in the advancement of the progressive movement in the state, including supporting the growth, strategy, and effectiveness of coalition direct voter contact programs through issue and election activity. This person will be the keeper and coordinator of some of the most exciting progressive work in the state. This position is ideal for someone who has entry level campaign experience and is eager to learn more, has a passion for helping others do their best work, and is excited about the details and tools that power direct voter contact programs. The position works directly with the America Votes team, as well as dozens of progressive partners across the state.
The Program and Data Manager will be responsible for supporting partner organizations running program in the state including field operations, integrating best practices, and using voter contact tools like VAN, Get Thru and Scale to Win. The position ends December 31, 2024.

Responsibilities
Project Support and Management: Support coalition programs of America Votes primarily focused on direct voter contact. Program areas might include campus programs, ballot initiatives, tactic-specific programs (canvass, phone, relational programs, etc), down ballot focused programs (congressional, state level or local races, etc), Get Out the Vote programs, and other state-specific campaign projects.
Partner Support : Support coalition partners through the implementation of campaign plans (electoral, voting rights). This may include providing technical and organizing assistance for individual partner organizations or groups of partners , responding to programmatic requests, and supporting the implementation of winning strategies. Work with the state data director to support data needs of partner programs, including some VAN administration responsibilities. Portfolio may include some tools support including VAN, AV housed/created coordination tools, direct voter contact tools, and some grant management.
Support Coalition Management : Work with the state team on tracking and coordination tools to support the implementation of the America Votes program across tactics and partners. Support and create content for reports and deliver presentations to diverse sets of stakeholders, sometimes on short timelines. This work may include some coalition administration tasks like scheduling, coordinating communication to coalition partners, and supporting in person meetings and events.
Direct Voter Contact Program Support : Support coalition campaign work on field tactics implementation (like canvassing), including supporting the integration of best practices. Support electoral and advocacy program implementation across partner organizations including script development and support some partners in using VAN (Voter Activation Network). This work may include developing systems or updating existing systems to manage the information, advance training, and strengthen the integration of best practices in the work. This work may include voting rights and election administration.
Program Implementation Support : Support meetings of coalition partners, which may include work groups on election-related topics such as campus programs, ballot initiatives, down ballot programs (congressional, state legislative, etc). Support events of America Votes partners and allies including coalition meetings and trainings, canvassing events, phone banks, and other direct voter contact events. Support program implementation through program participation, basic VAN administration, supporting program training and debrief activities, and support in using direct voter contact tools.

Qualifications
Required
Ideal candidates will have at least 1 cycle of experience in progressive political campaigns, progressive non-profits or similar organizations (with a campaign focus), or similar transferable experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with direct voter contact and canvass operations.
Experience working with underrepresented and/or historically marginalized communities, particularly in electoral or political settings.
Strong sense of ownership and resilience with respect to planning ahead, finding alternative paths when needed, and moving forward after setbacks. Demonstrated a bility to move people to action and hold them accountable with and without formal authority.
Familiarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network) or similar systems is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to be able to practice confidentiality, discretion and legal compliance in the work.
Familiarity with early vote, vote by mail, and voter mobilization programs. Familiarity with young voter programs including campus organizing models is a plus. Understanding of common voter contact methods like canvass, mail, and phone programs and applying those to persuasion and mobilization efforts, including early vote. Understanding of digital programs, relational programs, or broadcast programs a plus
Ability to work independently and to drive and manage own workload; ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively by making and meeting team goals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Drive with emphasis on using Excel, Powerpoint, Google Slides and Google Sheets. Must have the ability to manage a high volume of campaign data as well as create informational decks/slideshows.
Ability to travel within the state (as needed); ability to work irregular campaign style hours, especially during the peak months of the electoral cycle. Attend and lead meetings in person one-on-one, in small groups, and in large coalition meeting settings.
Candidates should have a spirit of service and curiosity, along with a diplomatic approach to problem-solving in work with outside partners and while working independently or on a team.
Preferred
Ideal candidates will have experience with data and targeting, using data to inform organizing and electoral campaign strategies. Familiarity with integrating research and best practices into a program is a plus.

Compensation
The minimum salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 ($5,000-5,833/month) with a potential election year bonus, based on performance and the state's election landscape.

Position Description
America Votes is seeking a Data and Program Manager for a full-time, 2024-cycle position in the following states: AZ, FL, CO, GA, MN, NH, NV, OH, PA. The Data and Program Manager plays a key role in the advancement of the progressive movement in the state, including supporting the growth, strategy, and effectiveness of coalition direct voter contact programs through issue and election activity. This person will be the keeper and coordinator of some of the most exciting progressive work in the state. Responsibilities
Project Support and Management: Support coalition programs of America Votes primarily focused on direct voter contact. Program areas might include campus programs, ballot initiatives, tactic-specific programs (canvass, phone, relational programs, etc), down ballot focused programs (congressional, state level or local races, etc), Get Out the Vote programs, and other state-specific campaign projects.
Partner Support : Support coalition partners through the implementation of campaign plans (electoral, voting rights). Qualifications
Required
Ideal candidates will have at least 1 cycle of experience in progressive political campaigns, progressive non-profits or similar organizations (with a campaign focus), or similar transferable experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with direct voter contact and canvass operations.
Experience working with underrepresented and/or historically marginalized communities, particularly in electoral or political settings.
Strong sense of ownership and resilience with respect to planning ahead, finding alternative paths when needed, and moving forward after setbacks. Demonstrated a bility to move people to action and hold them accountable with and without formal authority.
Familiarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network) or similar systems is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to be able to practice confidentiality, discretion and legal compliance in the work.
Familiarity with early vote, vote by mail, and voter mobilization programs. Familiarity with young voter programs including campus organizing models is a plus. What you will do!
As a Privacy Compliance Officer (PCO), you will support Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) through delivery of agency compliance and effectiveness of the privacy program that follows the agency mission and all relevant regulations.
The PCO is a shared service position servicing Oregon Department of Health of Human Services (ODHS) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA) (Hybrid entity) as the HIPAA Privacy Officer as required by law.
In this role, you will be responsible for working with all levels of management in OHA and ODHS, other state agencies, and external community partners etc. The PCO’s main role and function developing and managing the privacy compliance program, perform audits of compliance including audit plans, risk assessments and remediation plans, investigations and resolutions, and compliance and privacy related policies, procedures, education, and training in collaboration with our Awareness and Education Coordinator. PCO reviews contracts related to third party access including contractual agreements to support data protections.
Additionally, will support all reports of compliance issues and prepares reports and corrective action plans as directed by the Privacy Manager. As a Privacy Compliance Officer (PCO), you will support Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) through delivery of agency compliance and effectiveness of the privacy program that follows the agency mission and all relevant regulations.
The PCO is a shared service position servicing Oregon Department of Health of Human Services (ODHS) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA) (Hybrid entity) as the HIPAA Privacy Officer as required by law.

Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the part-time position of Golf Teaching Facility Attendant at the Golf Academy Center located in Cocoa, Florida.
Provide assistance to the Golf Academy Coordinator to ensure safe and efficient operation of the golf range and quality service to its users. Flexible hours to include nights & weekends when the Academy is open.

Provide assistance to the Golf Academy Coordinator to ensure safe and efficient operation of the golf range and quality service to its users. Flexible hours to include nights & weekends when the Academy is open.

The communications senior coordinator will support CRCL’s communication and public relations activities. The communications senior coordinator will play a central role in planning and hosting the 2025 State of the Coast conference, the largest gathering of its kind in Louisiana. Secondarily, as a member of the communications team, the coordinator will help create content for and manage the organization’s website and social media; contribute to marketing and development campaigns; help generate digital and print products, including newsletters; and track and analyze data to inform communication activities. The coordinator will also be a member of the communications team of Restore the Mississippi River Delta, a five-organization campaign that includes CRCL. Must be a highly skilled carpenter with considerable knowledge of standard practices, methodology, techniques and requirements of the carpentry trade. Two years of supervisory experience required. Must have a valid SC Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment, as the employee will be required to drive state vehicles to transport equipment and/or personnel. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience an/or education and encourage to apply.

Must have the ability & skill to locate & correct emergency, general, & complex carpentry problems. Working across all levels of government, particularly county and state justice systems, this includes statutory analysis, legislative concept development, Oregon Administrative Rule analysis and management, contract development and administration, budgetary oversight, program technical assistance, trouble-shooting, barrier removal and care coordination across multiple service and funding systems including the Oregon State Hospital, Residential Treatment Systems, Community Mental Health Programs, local hospital emergency rooms, Acute Care units, Medicaid systems, Coordinated Care Organizations, and providers, with a focus on inclusion of peer run organization and consumer driven input.
