Ensures the safety and regulates conduct of center patrons; enforces center policies, rules, and regulations; provides customer service to patrons, including handling customer conflict and complaints; issues trespass warnings and enforces behavioral consequences grid.
Assists in development of procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations for the operation of the recreation center; assists in the implementation of emergency action plan and responds to emergencies.
Completes registrations including payments; verifies cash drawer, closes out register and completes daily deposit reports; processes customer refunds; keeps inventory of office supplies and point-of-sale items and places orders.
Opens and closes the facility; monitors and oversees the facility activities; maintains the cleanliness of the facility which may include emptying trash cans, picking up litter, cleaning rest rooms, shelters and locker rooms; performs minor repairs and maintenance on equipment, grounds and any facility structures; ensures compliance of facility rules, safety standards and sanitation requirements; inspects facility to help ensure the safe and proper conduct of patrons; schedules the use of meeting rooms and coordinates group rentals; assists with the setup of tables and chairs, audiovisual equipment as needed.

Requirements:

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Virginia driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record based on James City County’s criteria.
Must possess, or be able to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire, certification in First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Professional Rescuers (Infant, Adults, and Child).

Position Summary
First 5 Contra Costa Program Officer positions have oversight of one or more program areas in early childhood as defined in the Commission adopted Strategic Plan; and require relevant subject matter expertise in those areas. ABOUT CASA DE LOS AMIGOS: This program has 2 locations and 20 beds, serving clients ages 12-17, who have been placed in the program by the Office of Refugee Resettlement Department of Unaccompanied Children's Services (ORR / DUCS). All the clients are unaccompanied minors, primarily from Central America, who have recently migrated to the United States. The goal of the program is safe and timely reunification with family in the U.S.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Case Management Supervisor, the Bilingual Case Manager is responsible for the day-to-day case management and family reunification services for youth placed in the Casa Program under the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and in accordance with all ORR policies and procedures. Duties include all intake and exit paperwork, case planning, crisis intervention, transportation, providing or obtaining translation services, ensuring clients meet all immigration related court appointments and requirements, and assisting in the safe and timely release of each client. This position requires shift responsibilities, a high degree of flexibility in responding to emergent needs of young people in crisis, and good organizational and documentation skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry a small case load of up to 6 active clients (may be more during staffing shortages).
Provide assistance to Case Management Supervisor, Case Manager, and two mental health therapists (filing and other administrative tasks).
Provide assistance to medical coordinator for transportation to appointments and medical data-entry.
Track client entries and exits, and other client information in Excel and other applicable case management databases.
Review and close case files. Ensure quality in files and organization in file room. Coordinate and follow-up with team members for any missing documentation.
Ensure current case files have all required case management documentation and assist in filing of paperwork.
Remain up to date on ORR policy and procedures and implement case management changes within provided timeframe and as needed.
Assess assigned client’s need for services and develop and document service plans that best meet the client request while respecting both ORR and DHS regulations and as clinically appropriate.
Complete, maintain, and submit all documentation in a timely manner, including client intake and exit paperwork; assessments and service plans; child trafficking screenings and home study referrals; case notes; family reunification packet and sponsor background checks; changes of address.
Maintain timely and accurate data entry in the UC Portal and YouthCare databases.
Educate sponsors and clients on immigrant rights and restrictions, child welfare rights, ORR sponsor care agreement and ORR/DHS requirements and expectations post-release.
Collaborate with community partners such as KIND and consulates to ensure services are provided in a timely manner.
Review caseload weekly with Assistant Director, 3rd Party GDIT, Federal Field Specialist and Mental Health Therapist. Attend and participate in quarterly Stakeholder’s meetings.
Escort clients of 12 and 13 years old to their reunification destinations as needed. Potential to stay overnight at agency expense if necessary due to flight schedules.
Participate in regular staff training on updated ORR policies and procedures, program requirements, immigrant and refugee issues, as needed. Attend applicable staff meetings.
Participate in file audits of all ORR young people in care quarterly to ensure proper documentation is being completed.
Must be flexible and be able to cover the floor as needed. These duties include, but are not limited to, providing direct supervision of youth and associated tasks such as providing emotional support, cooking meals, facilitating transportation, participating in chores, and completing required documentation/data entry.
Attend a minimum of 40 hours of in-service or equivalent trainings per year; including all YouthCare and ORR required trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS –
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

What you will do!
As an Application Developer, you will develop, integrate, implement, and coordinate projects and activities that support operations, maintenance, installation, and construction of information systems. This position will serve as a specialist dealing essentially with software. This position will work on a wide verity of technology to include .NET Core, Angular, IIS, Microsoft Power Apps, Azure, Azure DevOps, Dynamics, and SQL Server. Most of the job duties involve application development, business analysis and research, problem solving, or system administration.
The Application Developer provides technical expertise for staff on new system development, system modifications and system updates. This role makes technical recommendations to assist management decisions and is responsible for system development lifecycle planning and scheduling.
The Application Developer is assigned work in terms of program and project objectives, priorities, and timelines. Accredited through TCU Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development as a TBRI Practitioner.
Demonstrated understanding of complex developmental trauma, trauma-associated behavioral and developmental delays, and challenges related to permanency achieved through guardianship or adoption.

The successful candidate is someone who understands complex developmental trauma, trauma-associated behavioral and developmental delays, and challenges related to permanency achieved through reunification, guardianship or adoption. You must be an advocate for youth, families, and the professionals that serve them and have an ability to engage with people in all walks of life. This position is best suited for someone who is tenacious, hardworking, enjoys facilitating training, and loves helping others.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree preferably in social work, psychology, human development, or human services related field, and at least 5 years of experience working with child welfare, mental health, or permanency services. Other qualifications include:
Accredited through TCU Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development as a TBRI Practitioner.
Demonstrated understanding of complex developmental trauma, trauma-associated behavioral and developmental delays, and challenges related to permanency achieved through guardianship or adoption.
Demonstrated experience in successful program development including thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
Demonstrated knowledge of community post-permanency and trauma resources.
Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Up to 50% travel, mostly driving within the state, is required. Successful candidates have dependable transportation and must be insurable as a driver. A full list of driver qualifications can be found here: Driver Qualifications .

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in social work or related human services field
Experience as a Program Manager or other supervisory position in the non-profit or child welfare field.
Experience caring for or working with children and families who have experienced trauma.
Bilingual in Spanish.

The hiring range for this position is $55,000-$60,000 annually *.

PURPOSE
The Mental Health Therapist (MHT) is responsible for the mental health treatment of twelve unaccompanied adolescent boys on the Griffin Campus. This integral position provides direct services to each of the Griffin Campus programs (Colin-Ferguson, McEachern, and Matsen Houses) to ensure clinical mental health needs and medication referrals are met for the youth in care. Meet weekly with the Program Manager to discuss individual youth, review program operations and gain direction. Initiate discussion on problem areas and report on the status of clients and any barriers to completing contracted services.
Ensure completion and adherence to program procedure in various forms and reports mandated by Friends of Youth and DCS, such as Individual Service Plans, UAC Assessments, Case Reviews, Incident Reports, Transition Summaries, etc., in a timely manner.
Ensure all interpreted youth materials are culturally appropriate and sensitive to the mental health needs of the youth.

YOUTH CARE WORKER
The Youth Care Worker is responsible for all direct care to adolescents ages 12-17. They provide a continuous line of sight supervision at all times to their assigned children. They ensure quality care of all children and follow all contract agency policies. They assist children with their valuables, clothing, laundry, and appointments. They report to the Lead Youth Care Worker.
All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles, and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which TBG is recognized.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direct supervision of children in care and maintains line-of-sight at all times.
Provides oversight during recreation, meal time, relaxing time, and play.
Assists during transition and movement of children from one activity to the next and one physical location to another.Back
Interacts with children in an appropriate manner, including playing games or during recreational time.
Ensures that all contract agency policies and procedures are adhered to.
Ensures quality care for all children residents and timely response to their needs.
Ensures that all children’s needs are provided for such as protection of valuables, clothing distribution, laundry services, etc.
Provides reports to manager regarding children’s needs, activities, and documentation of time/location.
Attends appropriate internal and external meetings.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Performs duties in a safe manner.
Follows the corporate safety policy.
Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
Encourages co-workers to work safely.
Identifies “close calls” and/or safety concerns to supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum age of 21 years or older.
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Bilingual in Spanish & English (Read, Write, Speak).
Clean criminal background check.
Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) or child protective services check.
At least one year of experience with children in child welfare or social service setting.
Ability to remain calm and composed under stress.
Must be able to supervise residents indoors and outdoors throughout the entire duration of their shift.
Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations
Able to receive and understand detailed information through oral communication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computer, common office equipment, and MS Office products required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to ascend/descend stairs.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Able to withstand changing environmental conditions with weather (rain, lightning, extreme heat and winds).
Able to withstand and manipulate through construction areas, sports fields, etc.
Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
Must be able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors throughout the entire duration of their shift period, which lasts 8 hours or more on a typical shift.
Must be able to stand, bend, or stoop for the entire duration of the shift, as necessary.
Must be prepared and physically able to respond with appropriate protocol in a variety of dynamic supervision situations with clients of 12-17 years in age.
In a sudden or emergency event, staff must at all times be physically able to run, jump, lunge, twist, push, pull, and assist evacuating an adolescent to safety.
Ability to pass a medical examination to determine one’s fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth if accommodations are required.
Able to communicate verbally and listen for constant surveillance of staff activities
