Job Description

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Intermediate Interoperability Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

 

Duties Include:

  • Interoperability Meeting Support
  • BIWG Link-16 system specification and test analysis, architecture (circuit) analysis 
  • Development of technical interoperability briefings through test analysis
  • FRACAS Link-16 system specification and test analysis in support of finding root cause and to determine corrective action, architecture (circuit) analysis with relation to other elements
  • Create and board BDR closure package GTI-ISR(xx)
  • Future system specification analysis (info obtained from System PDR/CDR), architecture (circuit) diagrams/flowcharts, objective and scenario coordination with Upper and Lower Tier leads
  • Contribute to objective and scenario development
  • Interoperability Support Plan (ISP) requires attention to detail, system specification analysis, architecture (circuit) diagrams/flowcharts
  • David Sling Weapon System, Arrow Weapon System
  • Interoperability Testing Support
  • Flight Tests Link-16 data analysis, system specification analysis, architecture (circuit) diagrams/flowcharts
  • Assist in the development of interoperability objectives
  • Ground Tests Link-16 data analysis, system specification analysis, architecture (circuit) diagrams/flowcharts
  • Assist in the development of objectives 
  • Support any scenario design questions from both MDA and IMDO 
  • Create/Update test ACS and CAC's for any given test Integrator
  • BIWG Link-16 system specification and test analysis, architecture (circuit) analysis
  • Coordinate with IMDO to develop BIWG agenda 
  • Send out meeting notices and coordinate dates with major stakeholders IMDO, EUCOM, Joint Staff, and MDA
  • Maintain the BIWG Action Item Matrix 
  • Perform monthly status reviews on all action items for possible closure or the need for assistance 
  • Work IP BIWG action items and coordinate with other elements as needed
  • Consolidate all BIWG briefings and send through disclosure process (when necessary) 
  • Track all briefings through disclosure to ensure they are approved in order to support the BIWG meeting date 
  • Create meeting minutes, attendance logs, action item request forms
  • FRACAS Link-16 system specification and test analysis in support of finding root cause and to determine corrective action, architecture (circuit) analysis with relation to other elements
  • Represent IP in weekly meetings and provide recommendations for voting
  • Track IP relevant BDR's for both Ground Tests and Flight Tests GTI-ISR (xx)
  • Future system specification analysis (info obtained from System PDR/CDR), architecture (circuit) diagrams/flowcharts, objective and scenario coordination with UT/LT leads
  • Represent IP in bi-weekly meetings o Update IP quad chart
  • Coordinate with ITB team to ensure test requirements for IP and ITB are being met 
  • Contribute to objective and scenario development
  • ICWG Link-16 system specification, interface (circuit) design and implementation
  • Represent IP in meeting and provide recommendations for voting
  • Provide any analysis needed in support of IP action IMTP (Ground Test focus) 
  • Attend recurring meetings
  • Provide testing schedule updates 
  • Track any proposed testing schedule changes
  • Assist the IMTP scheduling of future IP Ground Tests
  • Identification of all interoperability meeting and test events
  • ITAG System specification analysis
  • Ensure interoperability capabilities are addressed in test event planning
  • Attend weekly meetings
  • Provide any analysis needed in support of IP action SEIC
  • Interoperability and system specification analysis, architecture (circuit) diagrams/ flowcharts 
  • Coordinate with SEIC team for scheduling of IP presentations
  • Provide any analysis needed in support of IP action 
  • Represent IP in meeting and provide recommendations for voting TMT Assessments--requires attention to detail, system specification analysis
  • Include ICD from other MDA elements

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Background in Link-16/Mil-Std-6016
  • Basic communication skills with both internal and external to MDA
  • Experience in technical writing to include: meeting minutes, executive summaries, white papers, briefings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with MIL STD-6016 (Link-16) architecture and requirements
  • Experience with Interoperability implementation and associated issues
  • Travel: 15%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science with 15 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years experience required

 

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Ability to report to VB-3 on a daily basis
  • Ability to travel overseas, need a passport

 

Desired Skills:

  • Interoperability experience
  • Tactical/Operational Architecture Circuits knowledge
  • MDA Flight Test experience
  • Familiarity with Israeli weapon systems
