The College of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) (http://www.ahs.illinois.edu) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is accepting applications for an eLearning Specialist. The eLearning Specialist will be responsible for working directly with AHS instructors on the design and implementation of their online and blended courses, supporting their use of instructional technologies, and helping to create rigorous online learning experiences.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop and support online and blended courses
Support instructional faculty
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Extensive experience with learning management systems and technology tools such Blackboard, Zoom and Kaltura
Experience leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred:
Online teaching experience
Experience working directly with faculty in higher education
Experience with video production/editing and graphic design
Proficiency with HTML and CSS
Certificate in online teaching, instructional design, eLearning, Quality Matters or related
Successful candidate will have:
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Keen attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of best practices in standards-compliant responsive web design, accessibility, user-experience design and information architecture

Appointment Status and Start Date
This is a full-time (100%), 12 month Academic Professional appointment. The proposed start is as soon as possible after the closing date.
