Job Summary
This is highly responsible supervisory and administrative support work involving complex technical and administrative work in the county auditor’s Subagent Review Program to ensure subagent compliance in all facets of vehicle and vessel licensing.
The employee in this classification is responsible for the oversight of county vehicle licensing subagents regarding compliance with Department of Licensing and Clark County vehicle licensing standards. Duties include the auditing of subagent work product, the monitoring of process compliance, and providing technical support to County vehicle licensing subagents. The incumbent plans the audit and review schedule in conjunction with the program coordinator, with the independence to adjust schedules to accommodate changes and issues that arise. Duties are primarily supervisory and administrative in nature; incumbents may occasionally participate in the performance of clerical duties. While the number of subagents may vary, this position typically monitors up to nine County subagents. Activities are governed by statute, administrative law, established policies, rules and procedures which must be understood and interpreted. The employee uses independent judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines such as Department of Licensing policies and procedures, regulations, and precedents for application to specific cases or problems. The employee will analyze results and recommend corrective action to the program coordinator. On-the-job training normally requires 6-12 months before employees are capable of working independently.
