Carpenter

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled carpenter with strong character and experience building fences, decks, framing, remodeling and other interior and exterior construction projects. Experience in working on relevant projects and using all necessary equipment is essential.

You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands. The ability to work well with others as a team, following instructions while safely completing jobs in a timely manner is important.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of construction site.
• Assist and lead other tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects
• Prepare, build, construct, or install project based on work order and/or diagram provided
• Timely completion of necessary projects

• Clean job site from debris, discarded material, company tools and supplies
• Maintain company vehicle and tools to always be presentable to the public eye

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of verifiable experience preferred
• ability to climb and maintain balance on a scaffold/ladder
• Experience in operating equipment like post hole diggers, drills, pneumatic hammers, nail guns, generators, saws, etc.

• Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.)
• Knowledge of basic engineering, construction principles and methods
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly and on time
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
