Youth struggle with making decisions, especially about drug use. They may not have reliable resources to learn how substance use can affect their lives, resulting in loss of housing, incarceration, decline in grades, and mental health issues. AACI’s ADAPT program focuses on empowering youth, helping them to make educated decisions.
The Peer Recovery Specialist provides guidance to engage, support, and assist clients in understanding and navigating public support systems. Responsibilities include conducting outreach, facilitating support groups, acting as liaison with community partners, and representing the ADAPT program in the community. No one knows more about the needs of those dealing with substance addiction than those with lived experience.
Salary Range $20.19 - $23.50 Hourly
