Position Purpose:

Performs complex (journey-level) communications work.   Plans, develops and disseminates information via video/audio, written communications, social media and website updates.  Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initative and independent judgment.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Creates, edits, and optimizes various multimedia files for use online. Prepares multimedia files for posting online to meet website accessibility standards
  • Maintains website content and visuals using content creation tools, management tools and multimedia authoring software. 
  • Performs quality assurance and testing of multimedia files prior to release.
  • Optimizes content for Web use for a variety of audiences.
  • Confers with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria or choose solutions for multimedia development

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in art, design, communications, IT or related discipline
    • Additional experience in communications or other related areas may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree on a year per year basis. (Experience requirements may be satisfied by full-time experience or the prorated part-time equivalent.)

 

Experience

  • Three (3) years communications
  • Website updating and maintenance
  • Using social media for professional purposes
  • Windows Media Encoder
  • Adobe Premier, preferred
  • Cisco WebEx Productivity Tools, preferred 

 

Portfolio

  • Portfolio with relevant corporate work and proof of skill
