We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Development Director to implement our development plan. This is a key role in helping to grow the organization. Essential Functions: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Development Director (DD) will provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, evaluation, integration, and administration development department. The DD will lead a team of development professionals in achieving the organization’s revenue goals, increasing income, and educating and engaging more individuals and institutions in the to advance the organization’s mission. The DD will be part of a skilled team of professionals working to raise at least $5 million annually. The DD manages a multi-faceted fundraising program; central to this role will be prioritizing personal solicitation of major donors, events, online and direct marketing, and foundation fundraising.
Duties:
Work closely with the Development Team to establish fundraising goals, set strategic priorities, advise on program development, and develop and meet annual budget
Manage and build a growing team of development professionals, provide on-going guidance, direction, and motivation, hire team members and provide oversight to consultants as needed, delegate appropriately and ensure strong internal communication and coordination, and evaluate performance and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth
Work closely with the Boards of Directors to engage them more deeply in the fundraising process and to help cultivate a strong relationship between board members and the organization
Help track cultivation and prospecting activity and ensure the execution of action items
Solicit contributions from major individual donors and steward long-term relationships with donors
Develop relationships with prospective individual and foundation donors to increase funding
Research prospective institutional and individual funders
Work with internal partners to draft and edit proposals and reports
Track proposal and reporting deadlines, ensure that all submitted materials are accurate and comply with any funder requirements
Manage all grant activity in a central database and deliver regular reports to the Executive Director
Serve as the point person for management and maintenance of funders database and ensure efficient system utilization across all units
Oversee the implementation of ongoing programs to improve the renewal rates of existing annual donors, creatively use events to upgrade donors and maintain a diversity of revenue
Work with the VP of Operations to develop annual budgets and income projections
Stay abreast of political and philanthropic trends and ensure that Board and staff are informed of changes in legislation and other trends and initiatives that might impact giving
Competencies:

Well-developed writing, interpersonal and organizational skills and experience managing staff

Travel Requirements: This position has frequent travel throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000/year
Commensurate according to years of experience. All employees must meet a 6-month probationary period. Continuation of this position after one year is dependent on the successful candidate meeting jointly determined performance goals.

Job Purpose
The Director of Donor Relations is responsible for designing, implementing and executing a comprehensive, strategic donor relations program that recognizes and retains all donors and celebrates the impact of philanthropy at the College of Charleston. Works closely with executive leaders, deans, athletics and other campus departments to oversee a coordinated system to properly document and acknowledge gifts to the College, deliver consistent fund status reports and help create strategic opportunities to encourage future philanthropy. Manages efforts to celebrate and involve donors through special events and giving societies. Also collaborates with campus departments that administer scholarships, including Financial Aid, Financial Services, Registrar, Admissions and academic units.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience directly related to duties described. Thorough understanding of the role of donor relations in complex organizations, preferably within higher education. Strong track record of working with volunteers, donors and senior administrators. Job Purpose
The Director of Donor Relations is responsible for designing, implementing and executing a comprehensive, strategic donor relations program that recognizes and retains all donors and celebrates the impact of philanthropy at the College of Charleston. Works closely with executive leaders, deans, athletics and other campus departments to oversee a coordinated system to properly document and acknowledge gifts to the College, deliver consistent fund status reports and help create strategic opportunities to encourage future philanthropy. Manages efforts to celebrate and involve donors through special events and giving societies. Also collaborates with campus departments that administer scholarships, including Financial Aid, Financial Services, Registrar, Admissions and academic units.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience directly related to duties described. Thorough understanding of the role of donor relations in complex organizations, preferably within higher education. Strong track record of working with volunteers, donors and senior administrators. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that OHA meets the public expectations about fiscal stewardship and responsibility regarding the multitude of incoming revenue sources, the Legislatively Adopted Budget and ensuring that programs spend the fiscal resources within approved parameters. This position has a critical role in developing and executing the agency's financial resources, ensuring that rate setting for the Coordinated Care Organinzations is viable, and that providers are being reimbursed according to appropriate laws, rules and policies. This position oversees the Budget Unit, Budget formulation unit, the Office of Actuarial and Financial Analysis, and the Office of Program Integrity.
The CFO position serves the following core functions as a member of the Director's Office:
-- Agency-wide Financial Leadership . The CFO sets agency policy and direction about financial matters across the agency and that support OHA's vision, mission and core values. The CFO convenes, coordinates and directs financial and budgetary staff across the agency to assure appropriate financial management practices are followed.
-- Budgetary policy . The CFO assures that OHA creates and promulgates budgetary policies and budgetary controls across the agency.
-- Setting financial strategy for Coordinated Care Organizations . Meet regularly and assure that CCO financial strategies are aligned with state Medicaid and Governor's goals. Assure Director and other members of the Director's office gets regular updates on CCO financial accountability and goals.
-- Health Equity Leadership . Assure that OHA's budget and underlying financial infrastructure are aligned to OHA's strategic goal to eliminate health inequities. Assure that OHA's budget development
-- Financial reporting transparency . Work closely with the comptroller to assure that OHA meets state and federal financial reporting and audit requirements.

Job Purpose
Under general supervision, operates the base radio station for College of Charleston Public Safety and Fire and EMS as well as interagency radio systems with the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch and directs officers promptly to emergency and other locations. Operates the Vision CAD (computer-aided dispatch), NCIC teletype, telephone & fire alarm systems operations and the Cougar Alert system maintains a dispatch log (computerized or written) of all activities for dispatched or received calls and for all events.
Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma. Entry-level work experience with voice communications systems or central switchboard operations. An associate degree in a technical communications discipline may be substituted for the required experience. Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations is a plus. Must be SLED / NCIC certified in teletype procedures or receive certification within six months of appointment. Previous dispatching experience in police environment is a plus. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Ability to work under stressful situations. Ability to identify problems & relevant issues, break situations down into components, understand relationships, come up with alternative solutions, and arrive at sound conclusions using a logical approach. Additional Comments Regarding Position

Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma. Entry-level work experience with voice communications systems or central switchboard operations. An associate degree in a technical communications discipline may be substituted for the required experience. Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations is a plus. Must be SLED / NCIC certified in teletype procedures or receive certification within six months of appointment. Previous dispatching experience in police environment is a plus. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Ability to work under stressful situations. The administrators, staff, and faculty in these divisions collaborate to provide an excellent, ecumenical Christian liberal arts education. Director of Assessment and Accreditation Hope College seeks a visionary director to provide academic leadership and college-wide coordination for assessment and accreditation activities. The director will coordinate continued compliance with all Higher Learning Commission (HLC) policies and expectations. This position is a full time, 1.0 FTE and will report to the Provost with a strong working relationship with members of the Deans’ Council and the Director of Institutional Research. The Director of Assessment and Accreditation will: a) engage in ongoing professional development in the areas of assessment and accreditation, b) chair Hope’s Assessment Committee, c) collaborate with departmental chairpersons and program directors, d) engage with the General Education Council and co-curricular offices for assessment-related activities, e) participate in national and regional organizations focused on accreditation and assessment, f) manage relevant budgets associated with assessment and accreditation activities, g) work collaboratively with members of the Frost Center for Social Science Research and the Director of Institutional Research and h) work with college leaders to connect Key Performance Indicators of the Strategic Plan to assessment and accreditation work. The specific duties and responsibilities with respect to curricular and co-curricular assessment include the following:
Lead all assessment of student learning within Academic Affairs
Coordinate data collection and presentation on student learning, write research reports, and deliver campus presentations related to assessment data
Refine comprehensive assessment practices for the college, in collaboration with the Assessment Committee
Collaborate with Academic Leadership to maintain and improve informative and effective assessment tools for collection and reporting
Keep the campus community abreast about current assessment applications, technologies, and data
Lead and develop a team of faculty to implement assessments
Collaborate with Student Congress leaders to assess co-curricular departments
Work with campus leaders to provide frameworks for data-informed decision-making
The specific duties and responsibilities with respect to institutional accreditation include the following:
Lead all institutional accreditation activities required by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
Keep the campus informed of current HLC and federal requirements, expectations, and assumed practices
Ensure timely responses to HLC reports, queries, reviews, and annual data requests
Coordinate comprehensive site visits, mid-cycle reports, and other required reporting
Utilize the shared governance system to develop a framework and system for annual data and evidence collection in preparation for accreditation reporting and reflection upon the learning experience
Collaborate with departmental and office representatives to detail a college-wide Quality Initiative
Work with faculty and staff leaders in state and nationally accredited programs
Serve as the registered Academic Liaison Officer with responsibility for ongoing reaffirmation of accreditation with the HLC
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline
At least three years working in assessment, institutional research, or accreditation in a higher education setting
Demonstration of clear analytical, writing, and presentation skills
Experience collaborating with groups with multiple perspectives
A commitment to all elements of the mission of Hope College, including global engagement and the historic Christian faith

The degree must have been conferred by an institution of higher education and have National Recognition of Accrediting Agencies by the U.S. Secretary of Education, and official transcripts may be required at the time of hire.

SELECTION PROCESS

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Writes health status reports.
Compiles, maintains, and provides analysis for health care. Assists and participates in interpreting epidemiological data for planning and department policy development.
Contributes to planning, prioritization, and execution of community health assessment projects, program effectiveness evaluations, and intervention research.
Provides public health data interpretation to the community and general public.
Conducts internal and community meetings.
Participates in and/or conducts disease outbreak and cluster investigations. Participates in the identification of causative agents and environmental conditions contributing to the health issue and identifies corrective actions for morbidity and mortality in an appropriate and timely way.
Trains interviewers, data collectors and data entry operators in needed work for the conduction of investigations, research activities, evaluations and assessments.
Conducts seminars and trainings in epidemiologic methodology and investigative techniques for health department staff, local practitioners and professional meetings.
Designs, maintains and monitors quality of disease surveillance databases. Recommends design and management of surveillance systems for problems of public health importance.
Maintains disease response protocols; assures protocols are based on sound epidemiological evidence.
Prepares public health information releases for findings from health information collection and analysis work in coordination with the health officer and other designation staff.
Prepares appropriate grant applications and acts as the principle investigator on grants received and develops opportunities for funded research.
Submits appropriate documentation for human subjects review.
Participates in statewide meetings for assessment (Health Assessment Work Group).
Makes recommendations for health policy changes based on findings from local epidemiologic studies and research.
Develops public health risk assessment models to forecast effects of exposure to physical, chemical or biologic agents.
Participates as a team member in the Department’s Epi Team.
Performs other staff duties and tasks as assigned that are consistent with the job class.
