Conducts needs assessment with KIND’s U.S./Mexico Special Programs team to design and implement quarterly trainings for staff and PBAs. Trainings will include such topics as Trauma Informed Interviewing Skills and Culturally Responsive Practices with Indigenous Populations.
Provides technical assistance and expertise to KIND staff and community partners with an emphasis on Trauma Informed interventions when working with UAC and refugee populations.
Works with community partners to coordinate services and collaborate in efforts; with emphasis on include language access, mental health supports and avoiding re-traumatization.
Assists with trainings and presentations.
Represent KIND at local coalitions, courts, and agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Graduate degree in social work or related field or 6 years of work experience, combined with Undergraduate degree in social work or related field, in lieu of advanced degree.
Depending on location- at least 2 years of experience working with Tender Age children, foster care, at risk youth.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in social services or non-profit organizations; community organizing, or grassroots and partnership development experience preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel (including formula function), and Teams; competence with technology-related items including audio-video set-up and execution.

Works with small caseload of high-needs clients utilizing a range of therapeutic interventions with an emphasis on screening for trauma, establishing safety, building trust, increasing coping strategies, and providing in-depth support during legal proceedings.
Conducts needs assessment with KIND’s U.S./Mexico Special Programs team to design and implement quarterly trainings for staff and PBAs. Trainings will include such topics as Trauma Informed Interviewing Skills and Culturally Responsive Practices with Indigenous Populations.
Provides technical assistance and expertise to KIND staff and community partners with an emphasis on Trauma Informed interventions when working with UAC and refugee populations.
Works with community partners to coordinate services and collaborate in efforts; with emphasis on include language access, mental health supports and avoiding re-traumatization.
Assists with trainings and presentations.
Represent KIND at local coalitions, courts, and agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Graduate degree in social work or related field or 6 years of work experience, combined with Undergraduate degree in social work or related field, in lieu of advanced degree.
Depending on location- at least 2 years of experience working with Tender Age children, foster care, at risk youth.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in social services or non-profit organizations; community organizing, or grassroots and partnership development experience preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel (including formula function), and Teams; competence with technology-related items including audio-video set-up and execution.

Support management of social media and maintain all Chispa TX digital content up to date, including updating a future Chispa TX website, as needed, and maintaining an archive of all multimedia content across programs and campaigns.
Support creation of online content for events, training, and volunteer opportunities, including, but not limited to, flyers, online forms, social media posts, linktree, zoom functions and technology, etc.
Develop materials and workshops for grassroots organizing base and promotores on best online digital practices and support implementation.
Find new innovative opportunities for audience expansion by staying connected to peers and digital communities.
Support the Chispa TX Organizing team with data training, regular reports, and daily use of EveryAction and Google Spreadsheets to track progress.
Travel up to 10% for organizing events, staff retreats, meetings, conferences and professional development opportunities, as needed.

Position Summary
First 5 Contra Costa Program Officer positions have oversight of one or more program areas in early childhood as defined in the Commission adopted Strategic Plan; and require relevant subject matter expertise in those areas. The Program Officer position has managerial responsibilities, including acquiring and allocating resources, budget development and monitoring, defining program area objectives and developing work and project plans, monitoring contractors, and supervising staff, managing partnerships and coalitions, and evaluating the program's results. Early Childhood Program Officer
This position will lead the early intervention focus area and work collaboratively with the program team to plan, monitor and/or coordinate services and resources that support families with young children. Under the direction of the Deputy Director and in collaboration with other Program Officers and staff, the Early Childhood Program Officer will lead the planning and implementation of early childhood projects and initiatives related to Early Intervention and Strengthening Families . Position Summary
First 5 Contra Costa Program Officer positions have oversight of one or more program areas in early childhood as defined in the Commission adopted Strategic Plan; and require relevant subject matter expertise in those areas. The Program Officer position has managerial responsibilities, including acquiring and allocating resources, budget development and monitoring, defining program area objectives and developing work and project plans, monitoring contractors, and supervising staff, managing partnerships and coalitions, and evaluating the program's results. Early Childhood Program Officer
This position will lead the early intervention focus area and work collaboratively with the program team to plan, monitor and/or coordinate services and resources that support families with young children. Under the direction of the Deputy Director and in collaboration with other Program Officers and staff, the Early Childhood Program Officer will lead the planning and implementation of early childhood projects and initiatives related to Early Intervention and Strengthening Families . First 5 Contra Costa’s current efforts in early intervention systems is focused on building the capacity of professionals and the systems they work within to adopt proven prevention and early intervention approaches, such as evidence-based developmental screenings, connections to resources, early childhood mental health, and trauma-informed practices. First 5 advocates for increased investments and strengthening systems to utilize early preventive approaches. The Early Childhood Program Officer will have strong knowledge of major public programs, funding streams, policy trends, research, and best practices in child development, and early intervention and prevention. The Early Childhood Program Officer will possess expertise in program design and monitoring, budget development and management, project management, supervision, advocacy, and systems change, research, and local, state, and federal policy related to early childhood. · Lead strategic thinking and coordination of First 5 investments that improve the effectiveness of programs for children at risk of poor social and emotional development in the first five years.
· Plan and initiate projects and systems change efforts to achieve the goals of the Early Intervention and Strengthening Families focus areas in First 5’s Strategic Plan, including coordinating countywide efforts and advocating for improvements in services such as consultation, home visiting, positive parenting, developmental screening, care coordination, family resource centers, early childhood mental health, and other relevant evidence-based practices and services.

· Participates in local cross sector community and systems collaboratives focusing on the early intervention and prevention and strengthening families’ sectors or where there are opportunities to add early childhood issues to a broader collaborative.
· Leads and manages a variety of professional development and capacity building activities for healthcare, social service, and other related providers to prevent, screen, treat, and heal childhood adversity and toxic stress, and other related early intervention approaches and topics including developmental screening, early childhood mental health, and inclusion frameworks for children with disabilities.

This position will be responsible for executing a robust events and engagement portfolio that increases individual support and engagement across annual fund and major donors. This position will be responsible for end-to-end execution of donor-focused fundraising, stewardship and cultivation programs throughout key regions. The Development department engages major donors for the LCV family of organizations including LCV, LCV Action Fund, LCV Victory Fund, and LCV Education Fund. The team works on special events, institutional gifts, individual direct solicitation as well as major donor mail, email and phone programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, skilled in project management, able to work independently and collaboratively across teams, and committed to racial justice. Responsibilities: ● In coordination with team members, manage end-to-end development, planning, management and execution of LCV’s major donor fundraising, stewardship and cultivation events, including regional luncheons and galas in Washington, DC, New York City, San Francisco and other key regions, including, but not limited to, site selection and contract negotiation, catering, A/V, volunteers, and participant experience. Staff regional events in-person, as needed. ● Project manage virtual and in-person regional salons in key markets, serving as main point of contact for host committees, event invitees, and speakers. ● Working with the Government Affairs team, create grasstops advocacy opportunities for donors, including managing advocacy training summit for major donors in Washington, DC. ● Working collaboratively with staff across the organization, drive the internal generation of specific program ideas and event content, including writing event programs and speaker briefings, and ensuring that messaging is accurately portraying LCV’s racial justice and equity work within our event programming. ● Work with the events team to ensure a diverse pool of speakers across all event programming. ● Work with the fundraising marketing team to plan marketing for events, including email, direct mail, mobile and social marketing, ensuring that materials reflect the organization’s values and commitment to racial justice and equity. ● Work with Swoogo event software, Salesforce donor database, and other internal databases. ● Implement event processes, standards, and measurements across all events, including working with the development data team to create and maintain systems around donor engagement tracking in the database. ● Support the Director of Donor Engagement in researching vendors who are led by historically underrepresented groups, including people of color, women, LGBTQ+ owned businesses. ● Prepare and align with event budgets, negotiation with vendors, and ensure payments and reconciliations take place in a timely manner. ● Develop staffing plans for all necessary events. ● Staff in-person and virtual events, including technical support for virtual events, and build strong relationships with Board of Directors, donors, speakers and vendors. Qualifications: ● Work Experience: Required - Minimum of 4 years experience working on a fundraising team, including experience working on at least one large-scale gala event. Experience working in donor databases, coordinating projects and working with key stakeholders including major donors, board members, consultants, or organizational leadership. Preferred – Experience working with event software and the Salesforce database. Experience working with a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), SuperPAC or PAC. Experience working in a nonprofit, political organization or campaign. JOB SUMMARY:
The Peer Support Specialist (PSS)/Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) offers mental health and/or co-occurring mental health and addiction recovery peer support to individuals residing in Clackamas County as a peer who has similar life experiences and acts as a positive role model of living in recovery.
The PSS/CRM position will be a member of the Clackamas County Choice Model Adult Team. A primary function of the position will be to assist people who are stepping down from inpatient psychiatric care and/or receiving psychiatric care in advance of hospitalization. The PSS/CRM will provide community-based, holistic, person-centered, trauma-informed and strength-based support to individuals with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health challenges who are referred via the Choice Team.
Choice Model Services, previously known as the Adult Mental Health Initiative (AMHI), is designed to promote more effective utilization of current capacity in facility-based treatment settings, increase care coordination and increase accountability at a local and state level. Choice Model will promote the availability and quality of individualized community-based services and supports so that adults with mental health concerns are served in the most independent environment possible and use of long-term institutional care is minimized. A primary function of the position will be to support the development of person-directed plans with the person being served.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To provide 1:1 peer support to person being served with a performance expectation of 50-60% of the employees FTE being dedicated to the provision of peer support.
Collaborates with people being served to create a person-directed plan. Person-directed planning tools such as REAL Recovery, MHAAO’s Initial Recovery Exploration, PATH*, MAPS*, and/or other models including assistance with developing their own Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)* will be utilized. Training will be provided in the use of these tools.
Participates in regular MHAAO peer support supervision sessions.
EVOLVE group support offerings will include but are not limited to peer-led Seeking Safety, SMART Recovery, and Hearing Voices/Extreme States support groups.
Assistance and support with health and recovery planning and community integration upon release from hospitalization including meeting with person being served prior to discharge from hospitalization if applicable.
Assistance and support accessing and navigating physical and behavioral health services.
Introduction and connection with local recovery groups and activities.
Crisis Support with introduction and connection to the Clackamas county Mental Health Clinic (MHC) as a crisis resource.
Support in developing community roles/natural supports.
Learning and practicing self-advocacy.
Support with reconnecting/visiting with family/children.
Addressing basic needs of shelter/housing, food, physical wellness, and entitlements/benefits.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Peer Support Specialist (PSS)/Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) offers mental health and/or co-occurring mental health and addiction recovery peer support to individuals residing in Clackamas County as a peer who has similar life experiences and acts as a positive role model of living in recovery.
The PSS/CRM position will be a member of the Clackamas County Choice Model Adult Team. A primary function of the position will be to assist people who are stepping down from inpatient psychiatric care and/or receiving psychiatric care in advance of hospitalization. The PSS/CRM will provide community-based, holistic, person-centered, trauma-informed and strength-based support to individuals with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health challenges who are referred via the Choice Team.
Choice Model Services, previously known as the Adult Mental Health Initiative (AMHI), is designed to promote more effective utilization of current capacity in facility-based treatment settings, increase care coordination and increase accountability at a local and state level. Choice Model will promote the availability and quality of individualized community-based services and supports so that adults with mental health concerns are served in the most independent environment possible and use of long-term institutional care is minimized. A primary function of the position will be to support the development of person-directed plans with the person being served.
