The Hope College Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professor positions beginning Fall 2022. These are one-year appointments with the possibility of renewal. For one position, the primary responsibilities include teaching introductory and intermediate statistics courses, and conducting research, including research with undergraduates. The other position is open to any area of mathematics but preference will be given to those that support the emerging statistics program. Opportunities exist for training actuarial students or working with established multidisciplinary research groups. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field is required. A PhD in mathematics, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field is an advantage. Interest in data science is an advantage.
