Job Description

THE POSITION

Are you looking for an opportunity that will provide career growth and advancement? The Securities Offerings Analyst 1 is responsible for performing a variety of assignments in the review of filings for registration, exemption, or notice filings of securities to be sold in Pennsylvania to determine compliance with the statutes, regulations, statements of policy and guidelines.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position reviews and analyzes registration, exemption from registration of securities, or notice filings to determine if the filing is complete and accurate, filed in accordance with the provisions of the law, prior violations have been fully addressed, all technical and legal requirements are met, full disclosure of all material facts is made to the investor, and it contains no misleading statements or would otherwise tend to work a fraud on the investor.

The incumbent prepares Comment letters detailing the areas of non-compliance that were found during the review of the filing. Assists in preparing recommendations for action by the Department with respect to registrations, exemptions or notice filings and prepares supporting documentation to substantiate issuances or orders denying or revoking an exemption or denying, suspending or revoking a registration.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience in financial investigation, financial analysis, or corporate finance, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
